3D Medimagic is a unique initiative started in the Medical and Dental Institutes of the Vydehi Group of Institutions, which proved to be beneficial in the education of students. This innovative idea is an immersive 3D learning platform which uses a stereoscopic medical educator aligned to the curriculum with authentic, high-resolution, and real-like 3D animations with audio and visuals was introduced for the better comprehension and higher retention span of the subject matter. The idea behind starting the classes especially for the subject of Anatomy is to fully immerse the student into easier learning of the topics, connects to the learners at an individual level thus making classes more interactive. It gives a better idea for the student, the positional orientation of the structures in relation to each other, which is not as easy to explain in a 2 dimensional method or only by practical means such as demonstration on cadavers. The students attend a theory class first to understand the concepts and then the same concept is taught through the 3D class. Each student is provided with a CD containing the software and has a separate account and login. It can be also be installed in the phone as an App.
