Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry

Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry

Children are our most valuable natural resource.” Pediatric Dentistry is an age defined specialty, privileged to be entrusted with providing primary and comprehensive, preventive and therapeutic oral health care to them. This includes screening infants in the first year of life, providing anticipatory guidance to parents, dealing with the unique challenges of adolescents, and addressing and managing the oral health care concerns of children with special health care needs. We, in the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, are a specialized and highly motivated dental team, trained in behavior management techniques, introducing and performing dental treatment for children while building a great rapport with them.

The dedicated faculty, in the Department favour and apply a student centric approach, employing innovative teaching methods to UG and PG Teaching as facilitators and guides. The excellent patient inflow ensures that the Postgraduates receive extensive hands-on training clinical training with exposure to a wide variety of special cases. The Department boosts of State of the Art Infrastructure and well stocked Department Library catering to the needs of the UG and PG Students.  The Department encourages the development of critical thinking and independent problem solving skills making it one of the best options of choice for pursuing specialization in the subject.
