Dr. Nisha completed her BDS and MDS from Government Dental College, Trivandrum, Kerala, India in 2002 and 2007 respectively following which she obtained her PhD degree in Faculty of Dentistry from University of Kerala in 2020 on the topic of salivary transcriptomics for periodontal diagnosis. She has more than 30 publications in various international and national peer-reviewed scientific journals over her 14 years of academic and clinical career. She has guided many postgraduate research projects and is also a member of the institutional ethics committee. She has been an invited speaker for guest lectures in various national and state level platforms. Salivaomics for periodontal diagnosis, prognosis, and therapy is one of her main research interests. She is an approved examiner for UG and PG examinations in various universities. Under her leadership the Department has conducted various workshops and CDE programmes. She is also a life member of Indian Society of Periodontology and Society of Periodontists and Implantologists Kerala.

Dr. Sanjeela Guru completed her graduation in the year 2002 and post-graduation in the year 2008 from KLEs Institute of Dental Sciences, Belgaum. She is also pursuing Ph.D under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. She is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research programs and is an approved UG and PG guide in RGUHS. She has a number of publications in various international and national journals and presented scientific papers in various national and state conferences. She has been the external examiner for UG university exam in 2012 and has been appointed as flying squad for Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences examination. She is the Member of Indian Society of Periodontology, Member of organizing committee for the CDE program ‘Dental Implants’ and ‘Laser Dentistry’ organized by the Dept. of Periodontics. She has played an active role in the DCI Inspection process for Postgraduate course in the department. She has organised and conducted various programmes in the college. She has been a resource person for rapid review programmes organized by Bangalore academy of Periodontology and webinar organized by the Department of Periodontics.

Dr. Shruthi S completed her graduation in the year 2006 from Yenepoya dental college and hospital, Mangalore under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and post-graduation in the year 2012 from JSS dental college and hospital, Mysore under JSS University. She is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research programs. She has a number of publications in various international and national journals. She has actively participated in NAAC inspection during her term as senior lecturer in Sri Siddhartha Dental College, Tumkur. She also has been a member of CDE organizing team for the CDE programs organized by periodontics department. She has been the external examiner for UG university exam in various universities. She is also an approved PG guide in RGUHS.

Dr. Indu Mathur completed her graduation from Vokkaligara Sangha Dental College in 2017 and completed her MDS Periodontology from Vydehi institute of Dental sciences and Research Centre in the year 2022. She has held positions as a resident dentist at Bangalore’s Manipal Hospital and as a medical officer at Vidal Health Insurance Company. She has participated in national and international conferences, presenting papers and posters. She is currently enrolled in a clinical research diploma programme.
