Graduated from Bangalore University in 1997 and completed post-graduation in 2002 from RGUHS. He completed his training in medicine from Europe, also completed his Masters in Reconstructive Microsurgery from Paris, France and Barcelona, Spain. He completed his surgery training from Barcelona, Spain and Germany. Went to pursue his PhD in Reconstructive Microsurgery from Barcelona Spain. He has a total experience of 23 years. Visiting fellow at Shands Hospital, Jacksonville, Forida, USA. Peking Hospital, Beijieng China. Microvascular Fellow at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan. He is trained in head and neck oncology and reconstructive microsurgery, TMJ open and arthroscopic surgery, Craniofacial traumatology, Dental and maxillofacial implants. Credited with more than 2000 reconstructive surgical procedures.

Dr. Sheron Mathews Koshy
Associate Professor, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

With eight years of clinical and academic experience at Vydehi institute of dental sciences and research centre. He completed both his undergraduate and postgraduate training at the Vydehi Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Bengaluru. Over the years, he has assisted in and performed more than 800 major procedures under general anaesthesia and over 6,000 minor surgical procedures. His principal area of surgery and research interest lies in the temporomandibular joint, with a particular focus on total joint reconstruction and arthroscopy , a demanding subspecialty at the intersection of function, aesthetics, and quality of life. Dr. Mathews has more than twenty publications in National journals and presentations at numerous National and Inter National Conferences. He also serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery (Springer Nature).

Currently serving at Vydehi Institute of Dental Sciences & Research Centre, Bengaluru.
Completed her undergraduate dental training (BDS) from M.S. Ramaiah Dental College, (RGUHS) Bangalore and earned her postgraduate degree (MDS) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from JSS Academy of Higher education and research, Mysore. Following her postgraduate training, she completed a Senior Residency in the Craniofacial Unit at Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalore, where she enhanced her expertise in the management of complex craniofacial conditions. She subsequently served as a faculty member at Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences from 2021 to 2024 .

With more than 600 major surgery cases to her credit, her primary surgical interests focuses in maxillofacial trauma, pathology and orthognathic surgery. Academically, she is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education and clinical training, with a strong commitment to mentoring future dental professionals. Her research interests encompass a broad spectrum of topics in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, with publications spanning various areas within the specialty, reflecting her dedication to advancing clinical practice through research.

Completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) followed by a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Sri Hasanamba Dental College, Hassan. During her postgraduate training, she gained extensive clinical experience across various domains of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including dentoalveolar surgery, maxillofacial trauma, management of infections, minor surgical procedures, and implantology. She is currently serving as a faculty member in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
