Dr (Col) Suresh Menon graduated from Govt Dental College, Bangalore and after being commissioned in the Army Dental Corps in 1986, went on to do his post graduation in AFMC Pune. He has held various posts in the Armed forces including teaching assignments in AFMC and Army Dental Centre, Research & Referral, New Delhi. He was selected for the UN mission in Angola and was part of the Indian contingent in UNAVEM II. Armed forces pioneered craniofacial distraction in India in 1999 and Dr (Col) Suresh Menon was part of the team and has performed innumerable cases of craniofacial deformity correction using distraction osteogenesis since then. A constant invitee to national conferences as a guest speaker, he has a large number of guest talks in professional meetings. He has also contributed to 80 publications in national & international journals. He has also authored the chapter on “Obstructive sleep apnoea” in the textbook “Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for the clinician” an open access textbook. After leaving the armed forces, he has been in this institution since 2009 and as HOD since 2010. He is also a recognised Ph.D. guide for RGUHS.

He has won numerous awards during his service in the Armed forces for his excellence and professional services and in the professional forum.

Dr M E Sham graduated from Bangalore University in 1997 and completed post-graduation in 2002 from RGUHS. He completed his Masters in Reconstructive Microsurgery from Paris, France and Barcelona, Spain. He went to pursue his Ph D in Reconstructive Microsurgery from Barcelona Spain. He has a total experience of 17 years. He is trained in head and neck oncology and reconstructive microsurgery.

Dr. Taradevi P.V Narayan is an alumini of Goa Dental College and Hospital, Bambolim, Goa where she completed her B.D.S (2014) and M.D.S (2020) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She joined VIDS & RC in 2022 as Assistant Professor. She has a keen interest in implantology, traumatology, pathology, oncology and facial deformity. As part of her post graduate curriculum, she has trained in GSR institute of craniofacial and facial plastic surgery, Hyderabad and Head and Neck Oncology unit of Narayana Hridalaya, Bommasandra, Bangalore.
