SOFT SKILL DEVELOPMENT

The students in the institute are extensively trained in various preclinical skills for developing Leadership Skills, Teamwork, Communication Skills, Problem-Solving Skills, Work Ethic, Flexibility/Adaptability, Interpersonal Skills. Variuos skills such as suturing techniques on Cushion Models, Osteotomy on skull, magnification loupes, Training in Cephalometrics Tracing and Analysis, Impression making, cast pouring, model trimming,  base preparation,  teeth setting, Complete Denture, Removable Partial Denture making and Crown cutting on models and tooth carving which enhances psychomotor skills.

LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILL DEVELOPMENT

Language is a social and uniquely human means of representing, exploring, and communicating skills. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and Research Centre have made Kannada language compulsory for students in Medical and Dental College students. Learning is a complex process of detection, teamwork, and analysis facilitated by language. Necessary facilities are provided for Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, Viewing and Representing in the institute for the benefit of students to learn Kannada language.  A dedicated and qualified Kannada teacher is appointed by the institute to teach Kannada language for students and staff.

YOGA AND WELLNESS

Yoga has been a great art and science of healthy living even though it is one of the six systems of Indian philosophy. Yoga at Vydehi Institute of Dental sciences & Research Centre motivates all faculty, teaching non-teaching and students in learning and practicing Yoga for a positive health.  Positive health is an important means of leading meaningful life filled with happiness and inner harmony. The practice of Asana contributes for the physical and mental health, steadiness and feeling of wellbeing and keeps an individual free from diseases of the mind and body. The importance of meditation for longevity and breathing as a tool for good health is regularly practiced in the institute. Exercises for relieving stress and methods for relaxation are also taught in the institute.

Dental camps camps are conducted in order to express how mankind is important.
